Coming Up This Week at 5@5

January 10

The 5@5 group would like to thank Henry Morris, who will be giving our devotion this Sunday evening. Plan to join us this Sunday, and don't forget the 5@5 challenge to bring friends!

Title: "Worry & Faith"

Scripture:
Matthew 6: 25-34
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into a fire, will he not much more clothe you. O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdon and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

5@5 Challenge: Bring Friends!

It's time to open up our 5@5 circle and start to bring friends on Sunday evenings. During the devotion on January 3, Micah Morris challenged everyone to bring at least one person to 5@5 that had not yet attended and would enjoy our time together on Sunday evenings.

5@5 on January 3 was great way to start 2010! Micah Morris shared a devotion about our Circle of Friends, and our church as being connected to one another and having a special connection through God.

A special thanks to Carrie Knight who read the scripture and to Heidi Bunn who shared a beautiful piece of special music.

Join us over the next few weeks as we have a lot of great speakers giving devotions.

Januray 17--Larry Glick
January 23--Norris Bunn

Plan to join us each week for a casual celelbration time of inspiration and being refilled by the spirit.
