Devotion Title: "Hope for the Season, Hope for our Lives"
Scriptures:
Luke 18: 35-43
"As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. They told him, 'Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.' He called out, 'Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!' Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, 'Son of David, have mercy on me!' Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, 'What do you want me to do for you?' 'Lord, I want to see,' he replied. Jesus said to him, 'Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.' Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God." NIV
Psalm 62: 5-8
"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hears to him, for God is our refuge." NIV

Another Great 5 @ 5
"It's Time to Give Thanks"
November 22 was another amazing night for 5 @ 5. With an energetic crowd the praise band was able to get everyone excited and rocking during our time together. Out devotion Title was "It's Time to Give Thanks" and was centered around Psalm 136. During this season of Thanksgiving, it's easy to forget the many gifts that God has given each one of us. This Thanksgiving as you gather around the table with family and friends, be sure so thank God for his many gifts that he has provided each of us.
A special thanks goes out to Heidi Bunn who served as the Service Leader and to Preston Knight who read the scripture. Thanks to Cris Armstrong and Corey Reichard who played instruments and created a great atmosphere for praising the Lord!
Mark your Calendars now for 5 @ 5 this Sunday from 5-6 at First Church of the Brethren. Come join out Casual, Celebration style group and bring friends too!
